Details we love that are born out of necessity:

Oak pegs enhance joint strength, and can be drilled out to allow for disassembly if a component needs to be replaced, or if the timber is needed for another purpose one day.

Chamfered edges reduce wear and tear in high-traffic areas and make a piece more ergonomic.

Steel caps to the bottom of legs protect against spillages, mopping and damage, preventing decay and enhancing hygiene.
