A solid future for wood
Last night, a crack team from Matthew Cox crashed the Rycotewood Furniture Centre end of year show to help the students celebrate hard. It was a sultry summer's evening but we kept everyone cool with refreshments from our very own bar (aka our pyramid table).
Parents, tutors and industry heavyweights admired the achievements of apprentices and final year furniture degree graduates, while our team of makers-turned-bartenders plied passers-by with beer, wine and G&Ts. (Softies for the under 18s, of course.)
As well as ensuring the evening was well-oiled, we raised over £450 in drinks donations for MindSpace Stamford, a wonderful wellbeing charity in our town. Thanks are also due to Adnams of Southwold for supporting the evening.
All the best to the graduates. The future is wood is looking good!
