September roundup
September was an exciting month with Ben, Fliss and Georgia all joining to take up newly created roles. They've all been welcomed into the workshop team and will soon by joined by Mark who arrives on Monday 2nd October as our production manager.
The team – old and new – took part in our volunteering day for MindSpace on Friday, 30th September. MindSpace is a local charity that works to improve the wellbeing of the people of Stamford through a community approach. One initiative is a beautiful wellness garden where people can tend to vegetable patches or simply sit and enjoy nature. Our team worked their socks off, re-felting and re-painting the shed and fixing benches and raised beds. They weeded, wheelbarrowed and raked, leaving the MindSpace team delighted and our team glowing in both senses!
September was also the month we saw The Current land on our doorstep. The Urban Electric Company go to great lengths every year to produce a tome full of aesthetic riches and this year they invited the Cox family to share their heritage and talk about legacy. Lindsay, Anne, Heather and Eve, who put together the edition, might have the best jobs in the world. But they DO the best job of creating something magical every year. We were honoured to be part of it.
