Joy to the world
It's been a long march, but we've made it home for Christmas. The serene scenes of 'no 19' have given way to colour and abundance, and this is the year we've let nature truly sing!
As is customary during the festive season, we've been graced with the immense talents of Miss Pickering, who has foraged and festooned... gladdening hearts with her generous over-door wreath (we know because we can hear the joy from our kitchen).
Matthew's mother, the inimitable Pearl Bugg, has illuminated rooms with church candles and hung tempting bunches of mistletoe in archways to remind us to love each other above all else. Holly and ivy dance in joyful rings around chimneypieces and banisters, and of course, there's the towering Christmas tree – with its strings of nuts and berries, Oggy the pup thinks all his Christmases have come at once.
Equally decorative is our beloved team (in the final photograph) – this collection of designers, makers, finishers, custodians, and curators all deserve to shine. These are modest, hardworking, and hilarious humans who, despite the year's challenges, have just kept learning, laughing, and supporting each other the whole way.
We wish our team, clients, suppliers, supporters, critics, and everyone in between
a joyful and jolly Christmas.
