Imagined legacies

Creating a legacy for our furniture is fundamental to our work. Imagining and shaping the future of our team is just as vital. After all, our people not only make our furniture, they make our company.

Learning and teaching are at the heart of everything in our team, but what's remarkable is the thoughtful and generous way people share their knowledge.

In a recent one-to-one, we asked our 17-year-old apprentice what his dream was. Instead of responding with something like, 'buying a Ferrari,' he said, 'I just want to pass on the skills that others have passed on to me. That’s the dream.'

Similarly, when we met Greg (who leads our workshop) in 2019, we asked him about his dream. He told us he wanted to run a furniture school one day. Ever since then, we've aimed to build a company where every day is the best kind of school day.
